| dc.description | This work aimed to study the biology of the green-belly stink bug Dichelops melacanthus (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) under ambient conditions of temperature and relative humidity, and fed on a diet based on legumes and oilseeds. It is a polyphagous insect that causes damage at the end of the soybean cycle, feeding on pods and grains, and in corn it causes damage due to injuries resulting from its feeding on the stalks of young plants. The conditions of the experiment were temperature ranging from 12 to 38°C, and relative humidity from 20 to 90% with a 12-hour photophase. The diet consisted of peanuts, sunflowers, soybeans and green beans. Insect development was affected by experimental conditions, where 60% hatching of eggs and 88% nymph survival were recorded | |
| dc.description.abstract | Este trabalho objetivou estudar a biologia do percevejo barriga verde Dichelops melacanthus (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) sob condição ambiente de temperatura e umidade relativa do ar, e alimentado com dieta à base de leguminosas e oleaginosas. Trata-se de um inseto polífago que causa prejuízos no final do ciclo da soja, alimentando-se das vagens e dos grãos, e no milho causa prejuízos pelas injúrias decorrentes de sua alimentação no colmo das plantas jovens. As condições do experimento foram de temperatura que variaram de 12 a 38°C, e umidade relativa de 20 a 90% com fotofase de 12 horas. A dieta constou de amendoim, girassol, soja e vagem. O desenvolvimento do inseto foi afetado pelas condições experimentais, onde foram registradas eclosão de ovos de 60%, sobrevivência ninfal de 88%. | |
